Industry Insight, News and PR, Student Stories
Back in 2015, Jack Holmes joined High Tide’s summer scheme, a decision that opened up a world of opportunities for him.
At the time, Jack was unsure of the career path he wanted to pursue. He had a passion for filmmaking but didn’t believe there were any local opportunities to make it a reality.
That all changed when he completed his work experience at Ithaca Films. The experience became a turning point in his journey, equipping him with skills that went beyond the classroom. From taking on responsibility to managing his own workload and meeting with clients, Jack gained invaluable insights into the professional world, skills he credits for shaping his career.
Fast forward to today, Jack is the founder of Northern Made Studio, a successful business rooted right here in Teesside. It’s a proud full-circle moment for us at High Tide, as Jack has now become a business partner, supporting us in showcasing to the next generation what’s possible when ambition meets opportunity.
Jack’s story is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together to nurture local talent, and we’re excited to see how his success inspires others to dream big.
