High Tide Hits London: The UK’s Major Ports Event Makes Waves

News and PR

The UK Major Ports event was a day to remember for the High Tide Foundation as we attended the UK Porting event hosted by PD Ports at the prestigious House of Commons. This incredible gathering brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and advocates for the maritime sector, and we were honored to showcase our work supporting young people in the Tees Valley.

Shaping Futures Through Maritime Opportunities

At the event, we proudly highlighted how the High Tide Foundation has been transforming lives through our innovative work experience programs. By collaborating with local ports, we’ve created pathways for students to gain first hand exposure to the maritime industry, a field steeped in history and brimming with potential.

These initiatives aim to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to pursue meaningful careers, while also ensuring that Teesside’s rich maritime heritage continues to inspire future generations.

A Platform to Inspire and Connect

The House of Commons provided a fitting backdrop for discussions about the maritime sector’s future. It was an unparalleled opportunity to connect with industry leaders, showcase the tangible impact of our programs, and emphasize why investing in the next generation is so vital.

The conversations we had reaffirmed our belief in the importance of collaboration between education and industry. Together, we can ensure that the maritime sector remains a cornerstone of opportunity and growth for the Tees Valley and beyond.
