The venue, which offers a variety of experiences from the hotel, restaurants and spa to farm shop and woodland walk, has supported a different charity each year since 2015.
Head of Sales and Marketing Ingrid Brough-Williams said: “We have so many requests for charitable support but it’s not always possible to fulfil each one. By annually selecting one local charity, we can concentrate these efforts and really make a difference.
“Each year applications are welcomed and one charity is chosen by our directors after much deliberation. While each charity is different one thing remains constant – that the charity we choose is at the heart of the area and has an impact on local families. This is exactly why we chose the High Tide Foundation.”
The foundation, which launched seven years ago offers practical work experience opportunities for teenagers across the Tees Valley, opening their eyes to the roles and opportunities available on their doorsteps.
Lauren Bywater, general manager of High Tide, said: “We know that the next generation in this area is so important – their skills, dynamic approach and passion are something we not only want to encourage but build on, and most importantly keep right here in the Tees Valley.
“With an anticipated shortage across many sectors, our programmes – which include a port to port tour with a partner port in Rotterdam, experience weeks and cadetships in automotive and shipping – mean young people not only get to hear about what the world of work is like, they actually get to experience it thanks to our fantastic network of corporate partners and business members.”
Wynyard Hall and the High Tide Foundation will be working together on a variety of fundraising activities and events over the coming year.
