Alena Din, who attends Prior Pursglove College in Guisbrough recently took a trip to London as part of our successful Summer Scheme. It was here that six aspiring law students were given the opportunity to visit one of the world’s biggest law firms, Holman Fenwick Willan, as well as The Royal Courts of Justice, where they witnessed the inner workings of the legal system in England.
This week, Alena Din and her college classmates visited Leeds Combined Court Centre where they took part in their first ever mock trial. Both lecturers and competition judges commented on their amazing efforts and even mentioned that they had experienced barristers that could learn something from watching their performances. This feedback was fantastic and really gave the students involved a confidence boost.
We’d like to say congratulations to Alena and wish her the very best in her future career in law. Good luck!
