Our career programmes are open to all secondary schools across the Tees Valley. All sessions are full facilitated by High Tide and are delivered in partnership with our business membership.

Industry Career Workshop – delivered in school
Our bite-size career workshops are taster sessions introducing students to a wide range of sectors, businesses and jobs roles. They are delivered regularly throughout the year and can fit easily into a structured careers programme.
Delivered in school with employers, the structured and interactive sessions are designed to help students understand more career opportunities, connect their curriculum with career and raise aspirations through engaging presentations, meeting people in varying job roles and practical break out sessions.
Sessions are available throughout the year for up to an entire year group in each session and will be facilitated by our High Tide team with our business members from a range of sectors including digital, shipping, logistics, engineering, manufacturing, automotive, health and wellbeing, creative media, law and finance.
Work Experience Placements – (1-5 Days) delivered in the workplace
Our Work Experience placements are industry-led, structured, inspiring and interactive work placements designed for Y7 – Y11 students. They are delivered regularly throughout the year and can fit easily into a structured careers programme with 1 to 5 day bookings available.
Delivered by local employers, the structured and interactive sessions focus on developing a deeper understanding of individual businesses, industries and job roles and include a series of business challenges, group presentations, site tours, and interactive Q&A sessions.
Sessions are available throughout the year for up to 15 students in each session and will be facilitated by our High Tide team with our business members from a range of sectors including digital, shipping, logistics, engineering, manufacturing, automotive, health and wellbeing, creative media, law and finance.
